Mean reversion – weighted regression
The cluster trade with risk weighting: each stock’s return is compared with a volatility-weighted sector average and the position is scaled by 1/σ², so calm stocks get larger positions.
Edit anything; the result updates as you type. Lines like window = 20 become sliders.

Mean reversion – weighted regression (3.10)

Key equation
Lab formula
r = log(close / delay(close, 5))
z = 1 / stddev(returns, 60) ^ 2
sector_mean = group_mean(z * r, IndClass.sector) / group_mean(z, IndClass.sector)
-(z * (r - sector_mean))How the backtest works
The formula is evaluated for every asset on every day. Its values become positions at that day’s close, using the portfolio rule you pick, and earn the next day’s close-to-close return. Costs are charged in basis points on the amount traded. Everything runs in your browser on daily data from Yahoo Finance, adjusted for splits and dividends.
