Command Line

A scheduled valuation must identify which script, files and arguments it uses. The command line makes that invocation explicit. This lesson explains working directories, paths, named arguments and exit status through the supplied analysis script. It connects scripts to the interpreter selected by a virtual environment.
Learning objectives. By the end of this note you should be able to identify the current directory, distinguish relative and absolute paths, execute a Python module and pass a named argument.

In this lesson

  1. Directory and path are part of the input
  2. Pass explicit arguments
  3. An argument becomes a data selection
