Three historical figures at your dinner table

Question

Name three people who are no longer alive, and who are not members of your family, that you would most like to host for dinner. Explain your choices.

Short answer

Choose guests that say something about you. Give one line on each person and the specific question or conversation you would want with them, ideally linking to interests such as science, markets, leadership or risk-taking. The point is genuine curiosity and clear reasoning, so avoid generic picks you cannot discuss in depth.
