Equal-profit bets across three match outcomes

Question

A football match has three possible results, each with fractional odds: Team Alpha wins at 2:12{:}1 (a winning $1 stake returns $3, i.e. $2 profit), Team Beta wins at 3:13{:}1, and a draw at 10:110{:}1. You stake whole-dollar amounts AA on Alpha, BB on Beta and CC on the draw, choosing the smallest such amounts that make your net profit identical whatever the result. What is that profit? If no such betting is worthwhile, answer 00.

Short answer

$43. The net results are 2A−B−C2A-B-C, 3B−A−C3B-A-C and 10C−A−B10C-A-B. Setting them equal gives 3A=4B3A=4B and 3A=11C3A=11C, so the smallest integer stakes are A=44A=44, B=33B=33, C=12C=12, and every outcome nets 88−45=4388-45=43 dollars.
