Questions to put to your interviewer

Question

At the end of the interview you are asked whether you have any questions of your own. What should you ask?

Short answer

Always have two or three thoughtful questions ready. Ask about things you cannot easily look up, such as how the team works, what distinguishes successful new hires, how performance is assessed, or the interviewer's own experience, and avoid salary or perks at this stage. Good questions show preparation and genuine interest.
