Where do you want your career to go, and what is your plan for getting there?
Short answer
State a goal that is ambitious yet consistent with the role you are applying for, then give concrete steps. Interviewers want to see that this job is a logical stage on your path, not a stopgap. Mention skills you plan to build, the kind of responsibility you want, and evidence that you already act on the plan.
