Time to fire three shots from a six-shooter

Question

A shooter empties a six-chamber revolver at a steady rate, and exactly one minute passes between the first shot and the sixth. How many seconds pass between her first shot and her third?

Short answer

2424 seconds. Six shots span five equal gaps, so each gap is 1212 seconds. Three shots span two gaps: 2424 seconds.
