Your first action on day one at the desk

You arrive for your first day. What is the very first thing you would do? (The question is intended to be a little annoying.)

Stay good-humoured and give a sensible, practical answer. For example: introduce yourself to the team, find out who to ask for help, set up your machine and access, and learn the existing codebase and priorities before changing anything. The interviewer is mainly testing whether you stay calm and pragmatic when a question seems pointless.
