Knowing your prospective employer's stock price

The interviewer asks what the bank's shares closed at yesterday. Why does this come up, and how should you prepare?

Check the firm's recent share price and trend before the interview. The question tests whether you have done basic homework and follow markets. Know the approximate level, recent direction and any news behind it; if you genuinely do not know, say so honestly rather than guessing wildly.
