Introducing yourself at the start of an interview

Question

The interviewer opens with: "So, tell me a bit about yourself." How would you answer?

Short answer

Give a tight two-minute narrative, not a life story. Cover where you are now, the two or three experiences that built relevant skills (quantitative, programming, markets), and why they lead naturally to this role. End on why you want this job, so the interviewer has an easy follow-up question.
