Coding in a proprietary language instead of C++
Question
Would you be happy programming in the firm's own in-house language rather than C++?
Short answer
Express flexibility while being candid about trade-offs. Say that you care about solving the problem and can learn new languages quickly, citing ones you have picked up. You can also ask sensible questions about tooling, interoperability with C++ libraries and career portability, which shows maturity rather than reluctance.
