A decision made with limited information

Question

Describe a situation where you had to make a choice even though you had very little information to go on.

Short answer

Use a STAR-style story. Set out the situation and why waiting for more data was not an option, explain how you reasoned under uncertainty (what you knew, key risks, how you limited the downside), then give the outcome and what you learned. Trading firms value comfort with incomplete information combined with disciplined risk control.
